My Favorite Holiday Dresss

Tis the season for cocktails and cocktail parties! I love this time of year, but dressing to gather with friends, family and coworkers can cause a bit of undue stress on you and your budget. So, I’m sharing a couple of my favorite holiday dresses that flatter any body type and will be appropriate in any situation.

First up is the ‘Jewel’ Silk Combo Pleated Wrap Dress from Diane von Furstenburg. Oh, I cannot say enough about how much I love this dress! The plunging neckline and full silk mikato pleated skirt allow for a flattering silhouette on any body type.

What I absolutely adore about the Black/Poppy dress, is the color selection. While most people go for a safer color palette during the holidays, this easily transitions from day to night, and certainly makes a festive statement. You can also wear this on New Years Eve as well!

This dress is in the higher price range of dresses I am showing, but it is on sale on the Nordstrom site currently. If you can swing it, hurry!

Next up is the Rylee Silk Shift Dress, from Lilly Pulitzer.

This pattern is called “Bright Navy Not Too Catty.” I have found that navy is a much softer approach to a more conservative black, and adding a festive print like this avoids being overly “Christmassy” or “holiday.” The two major bonuses of this dress are that you can dress it up or down, and it is overly forgiving around the middle…meaning you can go Spanx-less!

Last but not least, and because you know I love a great pink dress, this Pleated Keyhole Fit and Flare Dress, from Express is sure to fit in anyone’s budget. On sale at $39.95, this is a steal! The rose color is a much more fun approach to traditional ‘red’ worn during the holiday, and it transitions to spring quite easily. Dress it up or down, this little number is sure to flatter. Check your sizing before you order!
